Unusually dark in complexion, he holds upraised in the right hand a gold vajra scepter. The left hand supports a white skullcup and longevity vase in the lap. Wearing the three religious robes, the head is adorned with the lotus crown. In a relaxed posture with the left leg slightly extended atop a white moon disc and multi-coloured lotus blossom he is surrounded by a blue nimbus and green aureola both edged with gold and encrusted with red and blue wish-fulfilling gems. 356 identical forms of Padmasambhava each attired in variously coloured garments surround the central figure.
