Interpretation / Description

Long Horn Stand with dancing skeleton motif.

The long horn is set on a stand when played in a temple. The stand here is decorated with the impressive figure of a dancing skeleton couple lavishly attired. They both hold upraised a crescent moon to support and cradle the length of the long horn. In a procession, a young monk is assigned to carry the large end of the horn with a rope handle.
