Interpretation / Description

Asanga and Vasubandhu accompanied by the early Yogachara lineage teachers descending through the Sakya Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The identification of the two central figures is not confirmed and this is just a best guess at this time and from comparing the other figures in the composition. Based on the length of lineage teachers this painting can be dated to the late 15th early.
