Two compositions from a thirteen painting set depicting the Dalai Lamas and previous incarnations. The center piece for the set is the composition of Kalzang Gyatso, the 7th Dalai Lama. He is depicted facing the viewer while the other paintings place the figures slightly off center facing to either the right or left side. The composition model for this set is taken from the famous block print set, however much more care has been taken to add details and the narrative story of Konchog Bang which can be found in both paintings. It is not known if all of the paintings in the set have a continuous narrative of Konchog Bang or whether they include some other narratives from the famous Kadam Legbam text.
