Interpretation / Description

Vajrasattva (Tibetan: dor je sem pa. English: the Vajra Hero of Enlightenment): peaceful in appearance, white in colour, with one face and two hands. He holds a vajra to the heart and a bell at the hip; seated on a lion supported throne.

The Karma Kagyu lineage of teachers is arranged in the foreground with the Sakya lineage on the middle left and Gelugpa lineage on the middle right. Jonangpa, Chagzampa and Shangpa lineage lamas are arranged at the upper right and left.
