Shri Simha (English: the Lion), born in China in the middle of the first millenium, he was a principal early lineage holder of the 'Great Perfection' doctrine of the Nyingma School.

"In the sky of knowledge, love and effort,
By the clear light of the sun of pristine awareness,
Clearing the darkness of the ten directions;
Homage to Shri Simha." (Nyingma liturgical verse).
