Interpretation / Description

Vaishravana (Tibetan: nam to se. English: the Son of Namto); the Guardian King of the North.

Tibetan: Nam to se

Stern in appearance, regally attired, he holds upraised in the right hand a victoty banner. The left holds a jewel spewing brown mongoose to the thigh. Riding atop a white snow lion with a green flowing mane, he is surrounded by a dark blue nimbus and green areola encircling the head.

At the top center is the wrathful form of the bodhisattva Vajrapani. At the left is the wealth deity Yellow Jambhala. At the right is the female consort and wealth deity Yellow Vasudhara.
