Tara, White (Tibetan: drol ma, kar mo. English: the White Liberator). White in colour with a pinkish hue, the right hand is in the gesture (mudra) of generosity and the left holds a pink lotus flower. Eyes adorn the palms and soles of the feet. Eight forms of Green Tara perform the protection from the eight fears; lions, elephants, fire, daemons, water, snakes, false imprisonment and bandits.
