Both paintings below appear to be based on the same original master. It is also possible that one is a copy of the other. There are a number of paintings that follow the same or a similar iconographic program. Image #30696 has the added group of the Sixteen Elders in the upper right and left corners. Also see painting #90140 and #200491.

The dated 1365 mandala of Vasudhara by the artist Jasaraja Jirila has narrative scenes from the life story of the Buddha in the surrounding registers. Some of these scenes follow very well the same depictions found in the two Shakyamuni Buddha examples below.
