The standard pandita hat and the pandita hat with the lappets arranged across the crown of the hat are the two most common hats of the Sakya tradition. Although rare, there are however several other types of hats such as the raven crested hat worn by Wangdu Nyingpo and a crown with many leaves worn by Tegchen Choje, likely as a gift of the Yongle emperor. Jamyang Tutob Wangchug wore a variety of cap style hats and a large black hat for ritual Vajrakila dances.
