Interpretation / Description

Longdol Lama, Ngagwang Lobzang (1719-1794). This painting is the center piece in a set of paintings depicting the previous lives of Longdol Lama (see set).

At the top center is the 3rd Panchen Lama, Palden Yeshe (1738-1780) with two unidentified teachers seated at the sides. At the upper left is Heruka Guhyasamaja and on the right is Heruka Chakrasamvara. At the bottom center is Shadbhuja Mahakala.
