Interpretation / Description

Mandala: 33-deity Usnishavijaya

Top center teacher: Gonpo Sonam Chogden (1603-1659). He is flanked by two teachers wearing yellow hats associated with the Panchen Lama, these two teachers are unidentified. Surrounding deities: White Amitayus of the Chag tradition, White Tara, Shadbhuja Mahakala

The unidentified Gelug teacher at the bottom right of the painting is most likely the sponsor of the entire painting set. However, the inscription is not clearly legible.
