Interpretation / Description

Tendzin Rabgye (1638-1696): the fourth patriarch of the Drukpa Kagyu School of Bhutan.

Biographical Details

At the top left is Shabdrung Ngagwang Namgyal and at the right another patriarch. At the middle left and right attendant monks offer a Dharma wheel and a white conch shell to the central figure. At the bottom center is the female wrathful deity Shri Devi (Tibetan: pal den lha mo). At the right is the mountain goddess Tseringma and at the left the goddess Yudronma.
