Interpretation / Description

Torana with throne base: the missing centerpiece is likely to be the primordial buddha Vajradhara with two attendant figures standing at the sides. Surrounding the outer ring of the torana is a lineage of teachers beginning with Vajradhara at the top. The lineage is possibly that of the Lamdre Tradition of the Sakya School of Tibetan Buddhism.

The base of the throne is adorned at the center with Dharmatala, attendant of the Sixteen Arhats, and then the Four Guardian Kings at the sides.
