Interpretation / Description

Mahakala (English: the Great Black One) with one face and six hands, fearsome in appearance, in a standing posture. Along the top are the five Celestial Buddhas. Various deities are arranged at the sides and donor figures below with the meditational deity Achala at the bottom center.
