Interpretation / Description

Milarepa, Tibet's greatest yogi and poet saint. He was a student of Marpa Lotsawa Chokyi Lordro and the teacher of Rechungpa and Gampopa. (See a comparison of other Milarepa paintings with the central figure in the same posture).

At the bottom left is Heruka Chakrasamvara embracing Vajrayogini. On the right side is Jinasagara Avalokiteshvara.
