Interpretation / Description

Tsongkapa: surrounded by lineage teachers above and to the sides with meditational deities and protectors below - the Field for the Accumulation of Merit (Tib.: tsog shing).

Inscription:
ཨོཾ་ཨཱ༔་གུ་རུ་བཛྲ་དྷཱ་རཱ་སུ་མཏི་ཀིརྟི་སིདྡྷི་ཧུཾཧུཾ།

དང་པོར་རྒྱ་ཆེན་ཐོས་པ་མང་དུ་བསྩལ། བར་དུ་གཞུང་ལུགས་ཐམས་ཅད་གདམས་པར་ཤར།
ཐ་མ་ཉིན་མཚན་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཉམས་སུ་བླངས། ཀུན་ཀྱང་བསྟན་པ་རྒྱས་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་བསྔོས།
ཨོཾ་སུ་པྲ་ཏིཥྛ་བ་ཛྲ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།

"At first seek large quantities of extensive teachings,
And next arises the entire teachings as pith instructions,
Finally practice all day and night,
Dedicate all to the spread of the Buddha's teachings."
