Atisha. Below on his proper right is Dromton and on his left is possibly Nagtso Lotsawa, two of his most important Tibetan students.
On the left in the sky are three long life deities: Amitayus Buddha, White Tara and Ushnishavijaya Below them is Secret Accomplishment Hayagriva. At the top center is Amitabha Buddha.
On the right are Avalokiteshvara, Green Tara and Blue Achala. Below them is an unidentified white deity with three faces and four hands, holding a trident, lotus and lasso, with one hand making a mudra. At the bottom center is Vaishravana riding a lion. The selection of deities suggests the personal preference of the commissioner.
This is the original, HAR 57077 is a copy of this painting. The obvious differences are that this painting has more numerous and complicated deities in the sky above Atisha, and this painting has more differences in the gold patterns on the clothes of the main figures.
