Interpretation / Description

Kalki King 16. Mahīpāla (sa skyong), an emanation of Akashagarbha. In his right hand he holds a sword on top of a lotus, in his left hand he holds a shield on top of a flower. The iconography of the hand implements is slightly different from other lists.

The Gelugpa figure at the top left is named Sherab Gyatso, unclear which teacher this refers to.
