Interpretation / Description

Situ Panchen Chokyi Jungne.

This painting is an example of tracing. It belongs to a set of paintings depicting the Karma Kagyu Lineage of teachers. In these two examples it is clear that the figures are essentially identical along with the landscape on the left hand side, however another artist has created the mountain landscape at the upper right of painting number #961. (See a comparison with HAR #961).
