Jamyang Kyentse Wangpo (1820-1892). This composition is based on a Guruyoga practice depicting Kyentse Wangpo as a mahasiddha riding a turtle. Other famous teachers of the 19th century such as Jamgon Kongtrul, Zhalu Tankyong and Choggyur Lingpa are positioned surrounding the central figure. (See short biography and Outline Page).
Jamyang Khyentse appears in the guise of a siddha with one face and two hands holding a sword aloft in the right hand and a vase upraised in the left. A consort stands to the proper left side as they both ride atop a tortoise. At the top center is the meditational deity Vajrayogini.
