Interpretation / Description

Wooden Bookcovers with illustrations on the inner surface.

The top cover depicts the deities Shadbhuja Mahakala, Ushnishavijaya and Hayagriva. Two Nepali figures sit at the far right and left.

The lower cover depicts Shakyamuni Buddha at the center with Prajnaparamita on the left and Chaturbhuja Avalokiteshvara on the right. At the far left is a standing figure of Vajrapani and on the far right is Manjushri.
