Interpretation / Description

Gautama, the Prince, (5th century B.C.) as he renounces the world by cutting off his long black hair in front of a white stupa reliquary structure, heavenly goddesses collect the fallen tresses. Gautama is the royal prince who became the Buddha Shakyamuni and founder of Buddhism.
