Interpretation / Description

Avalokiteshvara, Eleven Headed (Tibetan: chen re zi, shal chu jig). Peaceful in appearance, with eleven heads stacked one above the other; he has eight hands and stands with legs together. At the top center is the Buddha Amitabha with deities and lineage lamas descending along the sides.
