The Himalayan Art Project (HAP) has had the good fortune to work with several organizations that have contributed significantly to the success of the web project.

Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center (TBRC),: this web based resource provides all of the biographical references for the extensive number of identifiable portrait paintings and sculpture in the HAP database. Half of the portraits in the database are now linked to biographical records.

Also, with the goal of establishing the correct identification of each deity from the vast Buddhist and Bon pantheons, as represented in the database, TBRC has assisted in providing bibliographic records along with digitized Tibetan folio texts used in establishing a definitive identification. Nearly 200 deity images are linked to Tibetan texts.

Wisdom Publications, http://www.wisdompubs.org: a non-profit book publisher, has kindly allowed HAP to use selected excerpts of the book Deities of Tibetan Buddhism to help with the cataloguing of the extensive collection of Gelugpa paintings and sculpture.

Please see the example: Vajrabhairava.
