Bon: Magyu Lineage Teachers (Painting Sets)

Eighty Accomplished Ones of the Magyu System

From the list of painting sets below only the Rebkong set is complete along with the Eighty Drubchens represented in the wall panel mural of Bongya Monastery. The Rebkong set appears to be based on the Bongya Monastery murals. Some description for the mural can be found in the publication The Bon Deities Depicted in the Wall Paintings in the Bon-brgya Monastery by M. Mori (Osaka, 2000). The publication titled The Eighty Mahasiddhas of the Mother Tantra, The Sacred Art of Tibetan Thangkas by Geshe Monlam Wangyal contains individual full page colour plates for each of the Drubchen. The majority of images below, if not all, appear to be of an Eastern Tibetan production.

Tibetan: Ma Gyu Lama Gyupa (ma rgyud bla ma rgyud pa).
