Karma Tenzin (嘎玛旦增) (ཀརྨ་བསྟན་འཛིན)
(b.1983) was born in Dranang County, Shannan, Tibet. He is a contemporary Tibetan painter associated with both the Karma Gardri tradition and a painting style which he developed, called Chi'u Gangpa, named after a 15th century Tibetan artist, but primarily inspired by the murals of Gyantse Pelkor Chode.

Karma Tenzin began his artistic training in 1996 under his maternal uncle, the painter and sculptor Nuosang. In 2001, he entered the Lam Lhatso Thangka Academy for further study. Since 2011, he joined the Xueduibai Vocational School (Tibet White Snow Pile Art School), where he has served as chief painting instructor. In 2022, he founded the Chi'u Gang Thangka Art Institute, which serves as his own painting school where he teaches his own style of painting.
