This set depicts the Lamdre teaching lineage of the Sakya tradition.

"This composition, in which the lineage masters are depicted as single main figures in partial profile, was typical of the Khyenluk style when depicting the Lamdre lineage of Gongkar. [...]
The three paintings exhibited from the set, particularly the third depicting Draktokpa Sönam Zangpo (Brag thog pa bSod nams bzang po, d. 1460s/70s), enable the set to be attributed to the Lamdre tradition of Gongkar."
