Painting Set: Ngor Deities (Gold Ground)

These paintings are from a larger set of unknown number commissioned for the funeral services of the 14th Ngor Khenchen Jampa Kunga Tashi (1558-1603 [TBRC P778]) of the Sharchen Ludingpa family of Ngor Monastery, Tsang, Tibet. Currently only the Guhyasamaja, Vajradaka, Hevajra and Mahamaya paintings are known to exist.

The painting set is securely dated to circa 1604.
