Subhuti, Elder (Tibetan: rab jor, ne tan): student of the historic buddha Shakyamuni. Subhuti is considered by Tibetan Buddhists of the Gelugpa Tradition to be a pre-incarnation of the Panchen Lama line of incarnate teachers.
