The paintings below are very likely to be by the hand of the 10th Karmapa Choying Dorje (1604-1674). At least five of the paintings have inscriptions claiming to be by the hand of the artist. Several of the works correspond with subjects known to have been painted according to the Choying Dorje catalogue compiled by Nenang Pawo.
The set of paintings depicting Shakyamuni Buddha and the Sixteen Sthavira are housed in the Lijiang Museum, Yunan, China.
