Sculpture Set: Eight Bodhisattvas (Gyantse)

These three sculpture belong to a set of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas. There would likely have been a center piece such as Shakyamuni or Amitabha Buddha. This type of large sized sculpture was intended to occupy the front of a large shrine in a temple or monastery. Only four from the set are currently known.
