Mahakala Main Page

The three textiles below depict figures, decorative elements and letters in the Lantsa script. The three pieces of textile likely belong to a single woven artwork creation. The figures closely resemble forms of Mahakala but are each different one from the other. The first figure has two arms, followed by a four armed and then a six armed figure. Each of the forms has a single face and two legs, blue in colour, with a crown, scarf and lower garment. Across the forearms of the first pair of hands for each is a staff similar to a 'gandhi.'
