Interpretation / Description

Asanga and Vasubhandu composition belonging to a five painting set depicting the Six Ornaments and Two Excellent Ones of the Southern Continent. The bodhisattva and future Buddha Maitreya sits at the front of a temple in the Tushita heaven.

The general composition and layout follows the painting style of Situ Panchen and Palpung Monastery.
