Lobzang Chokyi Gyaltsen, 1st Panchen Lama. Surrounding the central figure are the previous incarnations of the Panchen lama. This painting is believed to have been composed and executed by the great 17th century artist Choying Gyatso. The object currently resides in the quarters of the Panchen Lama in Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Shigatse, Tsang, Tibet.
