Interpretation / Description

Palden Khyentse Ozer, 2nd Jamgon Kongtrul (1904-1953 [p937]).

At the top center is the 15th Gyalwa Karmapa, Kakyab Dorje (1870/71-1921/22). At the left side sits Shakyamuni Buddha. On the right side is Padmasambhava.

At the middle left is the meditational deity Vajrakilaya. On the right side is White Tara.

At the bottom left is Chaturbhuja Mahakala. On the right side is Shri Devi Dudsolma according to the special tradition of mahasiddha Naropa.

The painting is by the artist Tangla Tsewang (1902-1989 [p1pd8264]) of Palpung Monastery.
