Interpretation / Description

Urgyan Gonpo (Prajnasti Bhadra). Riwoche Monastery, 2nd abbot.

In the top register, at the center is the teacher of the central figure. To the left is Vajradhara, Tilopa and Naropa. To the right of center are Marpa, Milarepa and Gampopa. Four more monastic teachers descend on the right and left sides. Inside of the registers are two figures with Jnanatapa on the left and an unidentified figure on the right.

Descending on the left is an unidentified three faced six armed deity standing on a wheel followed by Akshobhya Hevajra, Ratnasambhava Hevajra and Vajra Nairatmya. Descending on the right side are Vairochana Hevajra, Amitabha Hevajra, Amoghasiddhi Hevajra and Chaturbhuja Avalokiteshvara.

At the bottom left is a donor figure. To the right is Krishna Yamari, Hevajra, Kartaridhara Mahakala, Chaturbhuja Mahakala, Varahi(?), and an un-identified figure riding a horse.
