Interpretation / Description

Dorje Patsal: the uncommon local protector deity for Kirti Monastery according to the artist Buchung Nubgya. He holds a spear in the right hand and a bow and arrow in the left.

The teacher in the top center, unidentified, holds a sword and book in the right hand, a vase in the left hand with a monk's staff placed to the side.

At the top right is Pehar with three faces and six arms, riding a lion. The deity on the top left riding a horse is unidentified. The standing figure on the bottom is most likely a unique form of Dorje Shugden as a wealth deity, holding a vajra hook in his right hand, a treasure vase in his left hand and a mongoose resting on his arm. He is surrounded by jewels such as the Seven Jewels of Royal Power and the Eight Auspicious symbols.
