Interpretation / Description

Amitabha, Buddha (Tibetan: o pa me, sang gye. English: the Enlightened One of Immeasurable Light) seated in the pureland of Sukhavati contained within a rainbow sphere. Seated at the top center are the Five Transcendent Buddhas: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Amitabha, Ratnasambhava and Amoghasiddhi. Seated at the sides of the central figure are the 8 great Bodhisattvas. Various other buddhas, bodhisattvas and offering figures fill the landscape.
