Interpretation / Description

Samantabhadra Father-Mother (Tibetan: kun tu zang po yab yum. English: the All Good Father-Mother): peaceful in appearance, blue in colour, embracing the consort Samantabhadri. Peaceful deities are arranged above and the Six Buddhas of the Six Realms stand below along with wrathful deities at the bottom.

Sanskrit: Samantabhadra Tibetan: Kun tu zang po

"Primordial Lord of unchanging light,
Central origin of all mandalas,
Possessing the ocean of knowledge and pristine awareness;
Homage to Samantabhadra Father-Mother!" (Nyingma liturgical verse).
