Interpretation / Description

Shakyamuni Buddha (Tibetan: sha kya tu pa, sang gye. English: the Enlightened One of the Shakya Clan): together with the other seven Medical Buddhas. At the top center is Bhaishajyaguru (Medicine Buddha), blue in colour. Five Nyingma lamas are seated in the foreground.
