Interpretation / Description

Yungton Dorje Pal (1284-1365): a student of Zurton Champa Sengge and Rangjung Dorje (the 3rd Karmapa) and a pre-incarnation of the Panchen Lama.

Biographical Details

According to the Roerich 'Blue Annals' he is said to be one of Buton Rinchen Drup's four main disciples. This image belongs to a famous set of paintings portraying the lineage of Panchen Lamas.
