Interpretation / Description

Ratnasambhava, Buddha (Tibetan: rin chen jung den, sang gye): the fourth of the Five Celestial Buddhas, representing the qualities of enlightenment.

Yellow in colour with the right hand in the mudra (gesture) of generosity, he is seated on a horse supported throne. Two bodhisattvas stand at the sides while repeating rows of the Five Celestial Buddhas fill the back and foregrounds.
