Interpretation / Description

Begtse Chen: the great red protector.

Tibetan: Begtse Chen

Fierce and wrathful, with one face and two hands, he holds a sword upraised in the right and a heart held to the mouth with the left. At the top right is the meditational deity Hayagriva. At the bottom right is the consort and on the left the son dressed as a warrior and riding atop a wolf.
