The upper portion of the composition depicts early Mahayana Buddhist teachers of India along with two deities. The lower portion of the composition depicts three figures.
At the top right is Marichi, yellow in colour, with one face and two hands riding a chariot drawn by two pigs. Below that is the deity Tara known as 'Treasure of Virtue and Goodness' from the Suryagupta Tradition of Twenty-One Taras. On the top far left side is Kusali the Senior and Kusali the Junior, both predecessors in the lineage of Jowo Atisha. Below on the left side is Suvarnadvipa with the two hands placed in the lap. He was a direct teacher of Atisha.
At the bottom right side is the wealth deity Vasudhara. On the left side is Yellow Jambhala. The blue female figure remains unidentified.
