King: Gesar Number Sets

Gesar Religious Context | Number Sets Main Page

In the Gesar narrative tradition the number sets are primarily concerned with groupings of characters found in the various stories. Many of these groups relate to the warriors and generals in Gesar's army. In the religious Gesar tradition the number sets relate to forms of Gesar and the number of retinue deities. Most of the number sets for religious Gesar are the product of 'Revealed Treasure.'
