Video: Garu Pandita

Garu Pandita Lobzang Sherab was both a religious teacher and artist associated with the town of Rebkong in Amdo and specifically with the Nyentog Monastery. A single chapel in the monastery contains murals on three walls and the ceiling attributed to Garu Pandita. A number of scrollwork paintings have also been attributed to the artist who flourished in the 17th and early 18th centuries.
