Buddhist Deity: Parnashavari (Segyu Tradition)

Parnashavari Iconography

The Segyu Parnashavari, a tradition of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, depicts a Yellow deity with three faces and six hands following the Sakya Tradition description. The difference is in the addition of two retinue figures identical in appearance but different in colour. Red Speech-Parnashavari has a black and white face to each side. Black Mind-Parnashavari has a red and white face to each side. Both are in the same appearance as the central figure, Body-Parnashavari, and hold the same objects/attributes in the hands.
