There are several types of Vajrapani and Garuda imagery. The first is Vajrapani with a vertical row of Garuda figures arranged from the top of the head down to the lower torso. The second type is where Vajrapani is depicted with a surrounding retinue of Garuda figures. The third type is Vajrapani with a Garuda figure at the top, or above, the head, arranged vertically along the center of the body, or placed below the body and between the legs on the lotus throne.
