The images displayed on this page depict the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas according to the system that describes only hand gestures without hand attributes for all of the Buddhas. This system was popularized by Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen and is generally followed by the Sakya Tradition and related schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The gestures portrayed are the five commonly known and associated with the Five symbolic Buddhas: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Amitabha, Ratnasambhava and Amoghasiddhi.

With many compositions the artist chooses to paint each of the buddhas in gold while others alternate with the colours of the five symbolic Buddhas based on the hand gesture.

Gestures:
- Dharma Teaching - white
- Earth Touching - blue.
- Meditation - red.
- Generosity - yellow.
- Blessing - green.
